Intent
The Wing House is a striking example of contemporary architectural design, seamlessly blending transparency with privacy. Located on a picturesque site overlooking rolling hills and a serene valley, the house is designed to offer unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape while maintaining a sense of comfort and intimacy.
The house is divided into two distinct wings: the Living Wing and the Residence Wing, giving the home its name. The Living Wing serves as the social hub, featuring open spaces for entertainment and relaxation, while the Residence Wing provides the private, restful areas of the home. This division allows for functional zoning that caters to both communal and private needs.
Outcome
The Wing House is an embodiment of modern living—elegant, functional, and deeply attuned to its natural surroundings. Its glass architecture, sophisticated privacy solutions, and integration with the outdoor environment make it an exceptional example of contemporary residential design.
A key feature of the Wing House is its extensive use of glass facades, which allows natural light to flood the interiors and creates a seamless connection between the inside and outside environments. To address privacy concerns while still taking full advantage of the views, dynamic curtains have been incorporated, offering the flexibility to shield the interiors, when necessary, while still maintaining an airy and open feel.
The design language of the house is minimalistic yet bold, with clean lines, open spaces, and a focus on the materials' natural beauty. The house's architecture integrates effortlessly with the landscape, creating a harmonious balance between the built form and the environment.
Connecting the two wings is a massive outdoor deck, which serves as a perfect vantage point to appreciate the surrounding scenery. An infinity pool extends from the deck, visually blurring the boundary between the pool and the horizon, further enhancing the sensation of immersion in nature.
